In recent years, there has been an increasing trend of malignant events caused by microorganisms. According to our understanding, many kinds of bacteria are on the toilet, such as E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, staphylococcus white, bacillus subtilis, tetralococcus, etc. A lot of stuffs at home are easy to breed bacteria. Therefore, how to improve this problem relies on antibacterial agent.

In nature, there are many substances with good bactericidal or inhibitory function, such as some organic compounds with specific groups, some inorganic metal materials and their compounds, some minerals and natural substances. But at present, antibacterial material is more refers to the material who has the ability to inhibit or kill bacteria through the addition of certain antibacterial substances (known as antibacterial agent), such as antibacterial plastic, antibacterial fiber and fabric, antibacterial ceramics, antibacterial metal materials.

I. Principle of bacteriostasis

A) Mechanism of metal ion contact reaction

The contact reaction results in the destruction or functional impairment of the common components of the microorganism. When the silver ion reaches the membrane of the microorganism, it is attracted by the coulomb force of negative charge, and the silver sac enters into the cell, reacts with the -SH group, making the protein coagulate and destroying the activity of the synthase.

B) Catalytic activation mechanism

Some trace metal elements can oxidize or react with the proteins, unsaturated fatty acids and glycosides in bacterial cells, destroying their normal structure, and thus making them die or lose their ability to proliferate.

C) Cationic fixation mechanism

Negatively charged bacteria are attracted to cations on antibacterial materials, which restrict their free movement and inhibit their breathing skills, thus causing “contact death”.

D) Damage mechanism of cell contents, enzymes, proteins and nucleic acids

Antimicrobials react with RNA and DNA to prevent fission and reproduction.

Aiming at the market trend and new customer demand, Shanghai Langyis Functional Materials Co., Ltd. independently developed AntibacMax®, a series of inorganic metal ion antibacterial agents. AntibacMax® can sustainably release silver, zinc, copper and other antibacterial ions, and has a good antibacterial effect on broad-spectrum biological fungi. Compared with organic antimicrobial agents, AntibacMax® has better heat resistance, long-term release, chemical stability and safety.
